The History of You

I actually started researching my family in 2002 with the help of my mother. I soon got my father involved to work on his side of the family. I now have 2,438 people added to my tree. I add people every day. I also have worked on other people's family's trees. I have father's, sisters, cousins and grandparents for people who thought they were lost to them. This page holds different things for different people. Some might be curious about an aunt, grandparent. Some might be curious about a specific time period. Some just like history. And some, have asked me to work on their families.

Chamory. What does it mean? How do you say it?

When I was young, my grandmother, who we affectionately called "Granny" was one of my favorite people of all time. And from what I have heard, I was one of hers. After she passed away in 1991, I realized that I didn't know anything about who she was outside of "Granny'. I knew her name and I knew that she came from a prominent family, but that was all I knew.

It took me several years to get over losing her and my research really didn't begin until I was telling a story to my children (who were 4 & 6 years old, at the time) about her (11 years after she passed). I realized in that moment, that the person who meant so much to me, meant nothing to them. I knew at that moment I had to keep her memory alive.

How do you say Charmory? Granny's name was Charlotte. So, I took the first part of her name and the last part of memory and combined them to make Charmory.
